Houston Texans and HBO to host "Hard Knocks Day' at Training Camp on Aug. 3

WHAT: In anticipation of the HBO series “HARD KNOCKS WITH THE HOUSTON TEXANS” the team will host “HARD KNOCKS DAY” on Monday, August 3. Festivities will include a tailgate competition and “Back to School Drive”. The first 1000 fans to bring a school supply item will receive a “HARD KNOCKS” premium item. All school supplies collected will benefit the HOUSTON TEXANS YMCA – the only Y sponsored by a professional sports team in the U.S.
 
WHO: To kick-off the first evening training practice in four years, eight Houston premiere tailgating teams will compete for top honors. Houston native and actor, Eric Ladin who currently stars in the HBO series THE BRINK will serve as one of the celebrity judges.
 
WHEN: Monday, August 3
Tailgate Judging: 4:30-5:15pm

DETAILS: HBO Sports, NFL Films and the Houston Texans team up for an all- access look at what it takes to make it in the National Football League when HARD KNOCKS: TRAINING CAMP WITH THE HOUSTON TEXANS debuts in August. The first sports-based reality series-and one of the fastest-turnaround programs on TV debuts its five-episode tenth season on AUGUST 11 at 9:00 PM CST).
